Tinapa Free Zone & Resort has announced a partnership with Big Brain Naija, the organizers of the BB9ja revolutionary reality TV show, which blends entertainment, intellectual prowess, and entrepreneurship. This collaboration aims to harness the intellectual potential of Nigerians, promote innovation, foster entrepreneurship, enhance global competitiveness, and reward hard work. The partnership was unveiled during the Big Brain Naija (BBNaija) Vision/Frame Launch held at Hogis Luxury Hotel, Calabar, on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
The event was graced by several high-ranking government officials, including Senator Izunaso Osita, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Markets and Institutions, and Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, who represented the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu. Other attendees included members of the Cross River State House of Assembly, the Honorable Commissioner for Commerce, Dr. Charles Awuzie, Founder and Executive Producer of Big Brain Naija (BB9ja), Dr. Francis Ekom, General Manager of Tinapa, and Dr. Chibuzor Onwuzuruike, representing Zenith Bank, alongside other distinguished guests from both the public and private sectors.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, on behalf of the State Governor, warmly welcomed the Big Brain Naija team to Cross River State and assured them of the government's full support to ensure the success of the BB9ja TV show. Dr. Charles Awuzie expressed his gratitude to the State Government for its support thus far, while Dr. Francis Ekom, General Manager of Tinapa, guaranteed the team a safe and conducive environment at the Tinapa Free Zone & Resort for their operations.
The highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the Big Brain Naija frame by Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem and Senator Izunaso Osita, followed by a visit to Tinapa Free Zone & Resort for an inspection tour.
